Finished
Metroid: Other M (Wii)
- Enjoyable, but has a lot of flaws. Playing with just the Wiimote is a huge headache and painful for your thumb, all the while struggling through stupid game mechanics, bad game design mixing with cinematics, and bad plot.
The Conduit (Wii)
- Honestly one of the worst games I've ever played. Sluggish, clumsy controls, terrible graphics, retarded and cheap AI, and a plot a 6th grader watching too much TV would write.
Saint's Row (XBox 360)
- An okay game, nothing too special. A GTA clone that came out for the XBox's launch, it's also filled with a lot of bugs (most of them really funny).
Saint's Row 2 (XBox 360)
- A huge improvement over the first game. I found it to be really fun and over the top with its ridiculous gameplay/story. Though at times I run into some similar bugs and some of the missions are stupidly hard.
Red Faction: Guerilla (XBox360)
- Really fun. Like destroying things? Driving cars into buildings and watch them collapse? This game is for you. My complaints: stuff to destroy are few and far in between, you drive around a bit too much, and the difficulty spikes up like craaazy. Be prepared to die a lot.
Split/Second (XBox360)
- Fun...up to a certain point. I haven't finished it but honestly I don't see myself picking it up again anytime soon. The premise is pretty fun: drive around and gain "energy" to activate explosions and track-altering events against your opponents, all the while avoiding them at the same time. The problem with the game is that the AI is insanely cheap. Even if you drive the same cars as they do, they go at least twice as fast. Got a 10 second lead? It'll be gone in 3. The campaign is really repetitive, too. 11 seasons of at least 6 or 7 episodes each, giving you almost 77 repetitive races.
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door (GameCube)
- Now this is a fun RPG. The game also has some of the best writing I've ever seen in a video game. There's a lot of action and gameplay in each battle so it always keeps you on your toes. My only complaints: the game limits you pretty harshly on the amount of items you can carry and store and some enemies force you to use items or special attacks that you may not have.
Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64/GameCube)
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (NDS)
- Another fun RPG that follows in the humor of the Paper Mario games. Brilliant writing as usual for these series too. The game's a tad more similar to Super Mario RPG than Paper Mario, but it's still good. Poor Luigi...he's definitely the punching bag in this series.
